A major emphasis is placed on the accounting practices of different divisions of commercial banks, and their financial statements. In addition, it covers the accounting for life and other types of insurance.

Managerial Accounting: This course provides students with the fundamentals of managerial accounting. It covers several topics including cost-volume-profit analysis, comprehensive budget, variable and absorption costing systems, flexible budgets, and variances for all cost elements.
This course focuses on the use of accounting information for managerial planning, control, and strategic decision making. Emphasis is placed on analysing cost behaviour, inventory costing choices, relevant information for short- and long-term decisions, pricing strategies, performance measurement, and customer profitability analysis.
